User Manual

The operational reference for running a CryoStack application: choose an application and workflow, configure it, choose an available execution environment, submit and monitor the run, then retrieve and visualize results.

Configure, execute, monitor, visualize.

This configure/execute/monitor/visualize shape describes CryoStack's two workflow-execution applications — CryoLauncher and ICESEE — which run scientific models on a chosen execution environment:

  1. Choose an application and a workflow/example.
  2. Configure it (Basic/Advanced/Auto-config for CryoLauncher; the equivalent controls for ICESEE).
  3. Choose an available execution environment for that workflow — Local where supported, Remote, or Cloud.
  4. Submit and monitor status, logs, and progress.
  5. Retrieve, visualize, and download results.

Frozen Legacies (a historical-radar catalog and interpretation tool) and LIVIST (an englacial-temperature exploration application) are equally first-class CryoStack applications, but neither is organized around this execute/monitor cycle — they have their own interaction models, not a missing or incomplete version of this one. See Applications & Workflows for what is actually available in each application.
